Accreditation is a voluntary method of quality assurance developed more than 100 years ago by American universities and secondary schools. SACS accreditation provides a national protocol for schools committed to systemic, systematic, and sustainable continuous improvement. The accreditation process invites school staff to collaborate in reviewing the quality of the school's systems and their contributions to teaching and learning. Accreditation also engages the entire school community in a continuous process of self-evaluation, reflection, and improvement. The process supports, enhances, and stimulates growth and improvement throughout the school. It demands rigor, is based in data, and approaches documentation of results with discipline. Accreditation is about making the quest for excellence a habit. It is about being the best a school can be on behalf of the students it serves. The greatest benefits of accreditation are the external mark of quality, high standards, and school improvement process.
Heritage Preparatory School was established and designed to meet the highest of standards. Heritage voluntarily underwent a comprehensive process of internal self-study, and invited external professional review to verify compliance of these foundational standards.
Heritage Preparatory School is dedicated to excellence. It is committed to being better today than it was yesterday. This commitment to continuous improvement is demonstrated by the school‘s adherence to high standards and implementation of best practices that yields results for the students.
