Georgia Private School Tax Credit
The Georgia Private School Tax Credit program allocates $50 million per year for financial aid to independent schools. Through the Apogee Georgia School Choice Scholarship Fund, Georgia taxpayers can REDIRECT, at no cost, Georgia Income Tax dollars to eligible Georgia Private Schools. Donors receive a "dollar-for-dollar" Georgia tax credit for donations to the Apogee Scholarship Fund and in turn they provide eligible students with scholarships for private school tuition in Georgia.
Heritage partners with Apogee Scholarship Fund to enable the Heritage community to take advantage of this program. With a donation to the Apogee Scholarship Fund, a Georgia state income tax credit is available to you for the tax year the donation is made. Your donation also means you may be allowed a charitable contribution deduction on your federal tax return.
The donation forms must be submitted by November 30, 2011. Please follow the simple instructions below to make your donation.
Step by Step Application Instructions:
Step 1 - Print and complete the Apogee Authorization Form (effective July 2011 the State no longer requires this form to be notarized).
Step 2 - Print and sign page 2 of Form IT-QEE-TP1.
Step 3 - Write your check to Apogee Scholarship Fund. For credit card payments go directly to Apogee Scholarship Fund and designate Heritage Preparatory School as school of choice.
Step 4 - Mail these 3 items to:

Once Apogee receives your tax credit package, your pre-approval application (form IT-QEE-TP1) will be submitted to the state. The state has, by law, 30 days to confirm approval. Once Apogee receives the approval notice, the check payment will then be deposited. The acknowledgment letter will be mailed out within 30 days of deposit.
